We believe that learning doesn’t happen only in classrooms. In summer, we move our “classroom” to outdoor environment and to other locations in the world. Our current experiential learning program offering includes Everwood Summer Camp and an orientation program for Chinese students before they enroll at colleges in the U.S.
In the summer of 2017, we ran a boutique residential reading and writing program on an organic farm in the suburb of Beijing, where students lived in a close-knit community with our teachers. Each day’s learning was centered around a theme -- nature, technology, environmental stewardship. Students took academic reading and writing sessions in the morning, and got involved in activities around the same theme in the afternoon and evening. We concluded each day’s learning with a special “circle time” before bed.
- Family Education Visits to US Colleges and Boarding Schools
In the fall of 2019, we led students and their parents in our community on a tour to 12 colleges and boarding schools in America. Through visiting a range of universities, families learned how to to look beyond rankings to find the best fit educational opportunities for themselves.
